Saucony ShoeLab

Using the correct footwear is vital to prevent injury and maximise performance in all fitness activities, from running and gym sessions to walking and exercise classes.

Selection of the correct type of shoe is vital to the individual, Cushioning and Support in the correct proportion and location will promote a biomechanically efficient gait cycle.

The Saucony Shoe Lab has been designed to:

- Combine expert biomechanical knowledge with digital video analysis to provide a greater understanding of the users individual make-up

- Complete static testing and analysis of motion to ascertain the individuals requirements

- Collate this information to produce a footwear prescription

- Test and review the recommendations to ensure fit and performance are not compromised

An appointment at the Saucony Shoe Lab will last approximately 30 minutes, and all you need to be assessed by the Saucony experts is a willingness to run on a treadmill for a few minutes. If you can, bring along your running socks and your current training shoes - the older the better!

We will build up a profile of you as a sportsperson and discuss with you our understanding of your requirements. We will then make some biomechanical tests and use the treadmill and digital video studio to examine your gait cycle and demonstrate our findings.

Following our recommendations, we will then be able to show the effect of the correct footwear on promoting the most biomechanically efficient solution with the correct footwear selection.

The Saucony Shoe Lab will be available at several exhibitions and events around the country and also in specialist retailers.
